Και οι τέσσερεις παραπάνω εκφράσεις αποτελούν ισοδύμανες μελλοντικές εκφράσεις - αναφέρονται δηλαδή στο μέλλον - Future.

Για να δούμε τι δηλώνει η κάθε μια ξεχωριστά.

1. Be due to: Refers to a future scheduled time. Αναφέρεται σε μελλοντική προγραμματισμένη πράξη.

e.g. The shuttle is due to arrive at 7:15 p.m. 

2. Be about to: Refers to something that will happen soon. Αναφέρεται σε κάτι που θα συμβεί σύντομα.

e.g. Hurry up! The game is about to start.

3. Be bound to: Refers to something that will certainly happen. Αναφέρεται σε κάτι που θα συμβεί σίγουρα.

e.g. Don't worry! You are bound to find a job soon.

4. Be to: something will happen (formal). Αναφέρεται σε κάτι που θα συμβεί (επίσημο).

e.g. The president is to give a speech at noon.
