Clauses of Purpose = Τελικές Προτάσεις 

Εξηγούν «για ποιόν λόγο/σκοπό» κάνουμε κάτι.
Εισάγονται με:
1. to infinitive (to + ρήμα χωρίς κατάληξη) = για να
e.g. I will go to the supermarket to do the week's shopping. 
e.g. They went to the beach to enjoy the sunset.
2. In order to+ bare infinitive (ρήμα χωρίς κατάληξη) = έτσι ώστε
    So as to 
ΑΡΝΗΣΗ: In order not to / so as not to 
e.g. The company will hire new staff in order/so as to increase the production. 
e.g. They went to the beach in order to / so as to enjoy the sunset.
e.g. He left home earlier in order not to / so that not to get stuck in traffic. 


3. So that + Υποκείμενο + can/will (Παρόν – Μέλλον) = έτσι ώστε
                 + Υποκείμενο + could/would (Παρελθόν)
e.g. I'll buy a car so that I (can )drive to work. 
e.g. They went to the beach so that they (could) enjoy the sunset.



4. In case + Υποκείμενο + ρήμα σε Present Simple (Παρόν–Μέλλον) = σε περίπτωση
                 + Υποκείμενο + ρήμα σε Past Simple (Παρελθόν)
                 + of + noun (=ουσιαστικό)
e.g. Take a map in case you get lost.
e.g. She called her parents in case they were worried.
e.g. Take an umbrella in case of rain.
*Μετά το in case ΔΕΝ βάζω ΠΟΤΕ will/would
   e.g. Take a map in case you will get lost.



5. for + noun = για                                e.g. They went to an Indian restaurant for dinner.
          + gerund (ρήμα -+ ing) = για       e.g. We use an axe for chopping wood.
