Prepositions of Motion 

Προθέσεις που δηλώνουν κίνηση προς τόπο.


To (=προς)

Χρησιμοποιούμε το to με ρήματα κίνησης για να δηλώσω την κατεύθυνσή μου προς κάπου.
e.g. Not many children go to school in Burkina Faso.

 ΑΛΛΑ: I went home at 6.00.



From (=από)
Αν θέλω να δηλώσω τη μετάβαση από το ένα μέρος στο άλλο χρησιμοποιώ from ....A .... to ....B....
e.g. I will go from Paris to Venice by train.
e.g. It changes from a liquid to a solid.

Along=κατά μήκος
e.g.My dog likes to run along the path as I ride by.

Across = 1. απέναντι 
e.g.The post office is across the street from the police station.
            = 2. κατά πλάτος
e.g.The bridge across the river is a great place to watch the sunset.

Towards=προς
e.g. Walk towards the Capitol and turn left on 8th Street.

Through= δια μέσου / μέσω 
e.g. The bullet went through his body.

Επίσης: The store is open Tuesday through Friday. (= ..... εώς ...)

Into=μέσα σε
e.g. Come into my office.

Out of=έξω από
e.g. This cork won't come out of the bottle.









ΣΥΓΚΡΙΝΕ:

I am at school       vs      I am going to school
on the outskirts     vs      in the suburbs
arrive in Athens     vs      arrive at the station    vs   arrive home
