Στην ανάρτηση αυτή θα εξετάσουμε τους τρόπους με τους οποίους μπορούμε να αναφερθούμε σε γεγονότα και καταστάσεις που θα συμβούν στο μέλλον ... μακροπρόθεσμα ή βραχυπρόθεσμα.
Future Simple - Στιγμιαίος Μέλλοντας (= θα παίξω)
ΥΠΟΚΕΙΜΕΝΟ + WILL + ΑΠΑΡΕΜΦΑΤΟ (Bare Infinitive)
1. Αποφάσεις που παίρνουμε αυθόρμητα, τη στιγμή που μιλάμε.e.g. The phone is ringing. I will answer it.
2. Για υποσχέσεις, απειλές, παρακλήσεις και για να εκφράσουμε την προσωπική μας άποψη.
e.g. Promise me that you won’t do it again.
e.g. Do your homework, or I’ll call your father.
e.g. Will you get me some bread on your way home?
e.g. I think he will be a successful scientist one day.
Key Words (=Λέξεις κλειδιά): tomorrow, next week, next month/year, in the future, I think, I am sure
ΑΣΚΗΣΗ:
BE GOING TO (= Πρόκειται να)
ΥΠΟΚΕΙΜΕΝΟ + am/is/are + going to +ΑΠΑΡΕΜΦΑΤΟ (Bare Infinitive)
ΣΧΗΜΑΤΙΣΜΟΣ:
ΧΡΗΣΗ: Για κάτι που είμαστε σίγουροι ότι θα συμβεί (100%) καθώς βασιζόμαστε σε ενδείξεις-αποδείξεις χρησιμοποιούμε be going to.
e.g. Look at the clouds. It is going to rain.
Λέξεις κλειδιά: be careful, look out, look, soon ΑΣΚΗΣΗ:
FUTURE CONTINUOUS (= θα παίζω)
ΥΠΟΚΕΙΜΕΝΟ + WILL BE + ΡΗΜΑ -ING
ΣΧΗΜΑΤΙΣΜΟΣ:

e.g. This time next week, I will be travelling to London.
2. Για να ρωτήσουμε κάποιον με ευγενικό τρόπο τα σχέδιά του. Ιδιαίτερα όταν θέλουμε να μας εξυπηρετήσει ή να μας βοηθήσει.
e.g. Will you be using your car tomorrow? I need it to go to an important interview.

ΧΡΗΣΗ: Για μια πράξη η οποία θα έχει τελειώσει πριν από μια άλλη πράξη ή πριν από μια συγκεκριμένη χρονική στιγμή στο μέλλον.
e.g. I will have completed the project by Friday.
e.g. We will have painted the whole house by the end of next week.

ΥΠΟΚΕΙΜΕΝΟ + WILL + HAVE + BEEN + VERB - ing
ΣΧΗΜΑΤΙΣΜΟΣ:
ΧΡΗΣΗ: Για να δώσουμε έμφαση στη διάρκεια μιας πράξης που θα έχει ολοκληρωθεί σε μια συγκεκριμένη στιγμή στο μέλλον.
e.g. By Christmas, they will have been living in that house for two years.

ΑΣΚΗΣΗ:
PRESENT SIMPLE – PRESENT CONCTINUOUS

PRESENT SIMPLE
Για προγράμματα (timetables) ή δρομολόγια (itineraries).e.g. The train leaves at 4:00.
e.g. The winter semester starts in October.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS
e.g. I am going to the dentist this evening.
e.g. Tina is leaving to New York next month. (she has bought the tickets)
ΙΣΟΔΥΝΑΜΕΣ ΜΕΛΛΟΝΤΙΚΕΣ ΕΚΦΡΑΣΕΙΣ
be (about/due) to do something (= πρόκειται να γίνει από λεπτό σε λεπτό)e.g. The film is (about/due) to start! Hurry up!
be on the verge of doing something (= είμαι στα πρόθυρα)
e.g. He was on the verge of making a comment but stopped, realizing it would be a mistake.
Words NOT followed by will – going to
after, before, on condition (that), by the time, the moment/minute, provided/ providing, suppose/supposing, when*, even if, whenever, if, while, unless, in case, until/till, the next time, as long as, once, as soon ase.g. By the time your father gets home, the dinner will be cold. [NOT: …will get…]
e.g. I’ll be cleaning the house while you are enjoying yourself at the cinema. [NOT: … while you will be enjoying]
e.g. I’ll find out as soon as/when I call the office. [NOT: …as soon as/when I will call …]
*ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ: Όταν το when είναι χρονικός σύνδεσμος και μεταφράζεται ως «όταν», τότε δεν ακολουθεί will. Όταν όμως λειτουργεί ως ερωτηματικός σύνδεσμος και μεταφράζεται ως «πότε», τότε μπορεί να ακολουθεί το μελλοντικό μόριο will.
e.g. I will call you, when I come back. [Χρονικό= όταν]
e.g. When will you come back from Spain? [Ερωτηματικό= πότε]
